What an honor to be a part of this tremendous collaboration and among such talented artists. I’m so grateful to Mayra for accepting me into the group.

The piece I submitted for Cake Con International is extra special to me as it is also my son’s 7th birthday cake.

Every year he is very excited for his birthday cake; he begins planning the following year’s cake right after the current year’s is complete. This year helped me to design his cake. He gave the final approval that this was the design to create.

I had originally actually created another cake for this collab but after seeing my son’s excitement about his cake, I asked Mayra if we could use this one instead if she preferred.

I was nervous to be in a group of such outstanding talent, as I do not typically sculpt figures. I was very much out of my comfort zone. Everyone has been so warm and supportive in this collab group.

So for many wonderful reasons this is special to me. Lots of love in this one!
